The base for this set of vessels resembles a sandbox, a place where children practice social interaction. Each vessel is of a unique shape to acknowledge an individual’s personality. By eliminating a stem, I created a situation where the vessels can’t be set down without the communal sandbox. As a result, these objects become tools promoting social exchange and the building of relationships between people.
